Recovery With Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is the first port of call when it comes to addressing physical injuries. Rehabilitation can be a long road, but with the right Physiotherapist helping to guide your efforts, you’ll see a massive return on the energy you invest in getting better.

Physiotherapist in action

Physiotherapists are dynamic and proactive

Physiotherapy at Ebrook clinics may differ from your previous experiences. At Ebrook clinics, Physiotherapists are dynamic and proactive, working in partnership with their patients to achieve amazing treatment outcomes – “The way Physiotherapy should be!”

They get stuck in, hands on, and work hard to understand your personal expectations and goals around injury recovery. Using a range of methods, including soft-tissue release, joint articulation, shockwave therapy, rehabilitation exercises, and clinical Pilates, your practitioner will create a bespoke plan to help you get back to feeling your best. Our Physiotherapists do not shy away from a challenge, taking on complex cases where the correct course of action may involve more than one approach.

Whether working in elite sports, or helping someone to regain their independence, our Physiotherapy team members approach their work with a lot of heart. The outcome of their treatment plans can range between shaving milliseconds off a track sprinter’s time, or helping someone to feed themselves independently. Both of these challenges and everything in between bring our Physiotherapists great job satisfaction, and are of equal consequence and importance. Our patient’s goals are our top priority.

For Physiotherapy patients, we are able to accept some direct from insurance payments. Our Physiotherapists can accept direct payment from AXA, Avivia and Vitality insurance policies. You will need to have a few personal details (date of birth, address, etc.) and your Policy Number ready at the time of booking. Please call our administrative team for more information.

Clinical Pilates with a Physiotherapist

Clinical Pilates

Clinical Pilates is based on the traditional Joseph Pilates method, although it differs from traditional Pilates as it takes into account the participants individual physical needs. Here at Ebrook your class will be taken by a physiotherapist or osteopath, ensuring you’ll be able to enjoy your class with the knowledge that it will be tailored to your individual needs and injuries.

Tailored to you

Traditional Pilates requires a high level of strength, control and body awareness, which initially can be too much for a beginner or someone with an injury. Clinical Pilates has modified traditional Pilates exercises to reduce the demands on the spine, creating more options to allow you to participate.

Will I benefit?

If you have long term back pain, feel like your core strength could be improved, or if you want to work on your overall strength and muscle control, then Pilates is for you. We work on balance control, muscle control, lengthening and strengthening muscles.

Strengthen and Lengthen

Overtime, we will work to improve your balance, improve your mobility, to create a strong and resilient body. There will be many adaptions, allowing you to work at your level, with the option to progress when you are ready.

Clinical Pilates with a Physiotherapist

Book 1:1 Clinical Pilates

Alongside our classes, we offer 1:1 clinical Pilates with a physiotherapist, allowing you to choose a time to suit you. These are fully individualised to you, an initial 1:1 will include a medical history, a movement assessment if you have an injury, and then dependent on your familiarity with Pilates, a run through of the basics or straight into a session. Every session onwards, we will work together on your weaknesses, improving your strength and mobility.

If you have any worries about joining a class, then having a 1:1 is a good way to improve your confidence. We can discuss your injuries in depth ensuring you know what you can and cannot do and an opportunity to learn the basics of clinical Pilates first.

We are pleased to accept insurance funded patients for Physiotherapy from WPA, Aviva, AXA and Vitality. Please make contact with your insurer for a claim number, and then book your insurance-funded treatment via email or telephone.
