Here’s how Podiatry appointments work at our practice;
New Patient
These longer appointments allow you and your Podiatrist to work through the history and the current health of your feet.
The Podiatrist will take an in-depth case history, as well as details of any medicines, or any previous issues you might have come across with your feet.
Your Podiatrist will then assess how the nerves and blood vessels are working in your feet and legs, before treating any calluses, corns or verrucas. They will then trim and file your nails, before taking the time to give your feet a relaxing massage.
Returning Patient
The next time you see your Podiatrist, they will ask you how your feet have been since your last appointment, and if there have been any changes in your medicines, activities or pain levels.
Your Podiatrist will continue to work in treating any foot complaints you may have; including verrucas, corns and calluses. Your Podiatrist will remove dry skin, trim and file your nails, before finishing the treatment with a relaxing foot massage.
Nail Trim
These appointments are shorter, and for the express care of simple foot presentations. Your Podiatrist will trim and file your nails, and end the treatment by giving your feet a simple massage.
